Meet the Investor / Scale up Expert at the Sustainable Scale up Conference

How It Works


This Meet the Investor/Expert session during the conference aims to connect food and drink producers with potential investors or scale up experts through face to face meetings during the conference.  

People meet and greet at high speed. 15 minutes is usually enough to build connections, then the bell rings and the next meeting starts.


The workflow in detail


1) Online registration

Register online and submit your own company profile.

  • If you are a fund provider or investor, provide a summary of the types of food or drink businesses you are interested in, fund size, and types of funding you offer
  • If you are a food or drink business, provide a short summary of your business, products and any specific finance/funding/investment/support you are interested in from the checklist provided

All profiles will be published online. You can change your profile any time.

Note: Higher quality profiles receive more meeting requests. Your business profile is your business card, therefore spend some time to insert a high quality and meaningful profile.


2) Meeting selection

Email notification

You will be informed by email when you can start booking meetings. Check which profiles are of interest to you using the intelligent search options for quick identification of the most suitable participants.

Booking of meetings

Once you have found the most promising profiles you can select them for meetings. You can add further meetings any time but please be aware that the bookings are managed on the principle "first come - first served". You can book meetings BUT you can also be booked for meetings by other participants. For more information see FAQ.

Your personal meeting schedule

A few days before the conference you will receive your personal meeting schedule. This meeting schedule gives information about the time, the number of the table and who you are going to meet.


3) During the event

At the registration desk, a copy of your meeting schedule will also be available. Your personal meeting schedule lists each meeting in chronological order. 

Please ensure that you attend the meetings which have been scheduled. We will provide signals 2 minutes before a meeting slot closes to allow time to end your meeting and agree further actions. Please be considerate to other delegates who may be waiting to meet you or your guest and move between meetings in a timely manner. 

Our staff will be available to provide support and assistance during the whole event.

If you no longer wish to attend your meetings, please contact us prior to the event so that your meetings can be cancelled. Spaces are limited and therefore appointments can be made available for other delegates.
